Anyone had one, ridden one at all?

Thinking of one for a bit of touring and commuting and just would like any comments about ownership good or bad please?

I've got one and I reckon it's a superb bike - for what it's designed for. It's not a sports bike obviously. But a very good turn of speed and silky smooth delivery throughout the rev range. Best looking retro too IMHO. I would say that the later ones don't look quite so good though, I'm not so keen on the paint jobs. That's down to personal preference though. A good all round bike - and mines for sale in PH classifieds laugh

Have been offered a 55 plate one with only 650 miles on the clock.

£4,250.

Very tempted and more practical than the Night Rod Special.

It's blue with the white flash

Thanks. Yeah, it's a peach. Totally immaculate and I'll be sorry to see it go TBH, but I need money to fund my dream car purchase.

Is that the one with the auto clutch? Makes slow-speed manouevring a bit entertaining, apparently.

my brother is on his 2nd XJR1300. the first being the non SP model and the 2nd being the later one with Ohlins rear shocks.

He's smitten with 'em and he had a 'Mille R' before that and he much prefers the XJR.

For what its worth he was quick in his group at Snetterton too so if it's your bag, its a great bike.
Also it doesnt take alot of effort to get 140bhp at the rear wheel with a shed load of torque.

You're thinking of a FJR1300AS. Hoping to test-ride one soon for this reason.

The FJR 1300s with the semi-auto shift don't seem to be selling very well at all.

Ta for the comments on the XJR
