Sorry Guys

Just agreed the purchase of a Tuscan to be collected on Sunday. So I'm afraid I will be moving from the Chim section to the Tuscan section for advice.(perhaps should have sold the Chim first!!!)

May I take this oportunity to thank you all for your advice and response to my posts, and also for the many useful posts and replies on various subjects.

All the best - I will still keep an interest in the forum.

Don the dark sunglasses and leathers and say after me: "I'll be back!"

I have had the absolute pleasure of having both in the garage for the last 5 weeks or so. Would like a Tuscan, but would have to keep the Chimaera, and have a Cerbie as well.

I've been in/driven most of the modern TVR range now and the Tuscan is right there a number 3.

Good luck, enjoy.

Oh, and get the exhausts sleeved yikes

Yes but that geriatric red thing you have doesn't drive like a real Tuscan will, its needs more miles and a good
thrashing to loosen it up or have you done that?

Nah - they sound too different and the torque delivery is a radical change. Remember to use both of them regularly to prevent problems .

Bob's right, make sure you use the Chim a lot - it's easy to forget how an engine should sound

Be absolutely certain you check the Tuscan properly before parting with the cash. Apparently some of them came from the factory with two cylinders left off the engine.

I've thought about getting a Tuscan so many times, but can't imagine no V8! I've often thought about putting a V8 in a Tuscan, is it possible?

My last Tuscan was destroyed by my mates 6 year old boy, last time I let him play with my die cast!

I do like Tuscans, such a shame TVR dropped the V8, good luck!

The engine ote may not e a V8 but it does sound distinctive - you will never mistake it on the road for anything else. Saying tht if I get rid of either Tiv it will be the Tuscan.

PS I love both of my Tivs for diferent reasons.
