Normally i would be bouncing with excitement..bounce

But.. The weather is supposed to be a bit C*rap to say the least tomorrow. They are bringing it down on a transporter, from Stockton on Tees.
I mentioned the potential 'dodgy' weather, but they assured me the driver is very good..rolleyes

Sigh...

Welcome back to the world of TVR.
Were supposed to be having snow tomorrow which should be interesting on the way to work.
Just make sure when the delivery man drops the car off you go over it with a fine tooth comb
and check for any dings and scratches that weren't there when you looked at it before purchase.
THEN sign the delivery form.
Just done the same as the wife has just bought a new MX5 that was delivered this morning.
Spent a good 45 mins looking round it and checking fluid levels, much to the annoyance of
the delivery guy
Good luck and I hope its a cracker.
Cheers
Paul

Yep, the previous owner hardly used it. Just kept it polished/serviced and garaged!

So just the one owner, FTVRsh, 7500 miles..almost as it was when it left the factory.

I will change all that. driving

Get it serviced straight away. I bought mine in Jan 05, the previous owner having done only 80 miles since the last service in June 04. Needed quite a few new seals/gaskets etc where the old ones had become dry and brittle through so little use.

Had the same thoughts.thumbup
Saying that, the garage have given it a complete service. But as you say some of the seals/gaskets may be a little 'time' worn..

Cheers..

Congrats on your new purchase....sounds like you've found a good un clap

Agree with Zippee, lack of use can sometimes be just as bad as too much use IMHO. Bought my 97' Chim 2 weeks ago which had 29,000 on the clock and the prevoius owner had only put on 1,000 in 18 months!! That's why he was selling, anyway had Leven inspect it first and they picked up cracked fuel pipes, cracked engine mounts, split drive shaft gaiters, slightly leaky sump and a corroded radiator. Had the work done (except radiator and sump - not urgent at the mo) plus 12,000 service all now OK. Then last Saturday took her out to get some fuel prior to going for a little blat around the Cotswolds and the bolts in the throttle linkage had worked loose and come away - result no power irked All fixed now for little expense but word of warning, underused cars may have problems that are not immediately obvious....so check the obvious things and keep an eye on them yes

In the meantime have fun driving

Drive it I say! The most fun I had was when it snowed last Christmas time and I was playing silly buggers on a newly built road, it was into a new estate so had no traffic at all and I was sideways for about a mile.

Just make sure you wash the crap off the chasis afterwards though!

Double yes

I have a vid clip of me doing donuts in the snow in the Ferrari ... and I can see no reason not to take full advantage in the TVR also

They're 11 miles away! Could get the old Mountain Bike out though scratchchin That could be fun in the snow bounce Ah but not certain it'll fit in the boot?
