How can I tell which mods my car has?

I recently bought an Evo8 fq300 and wanted to know what-if anything- has been done to it it terms of any modifications. The only thing I know for certain is that it has a big exhaust.
Could any old garage tell me or do I have to take it to a specialist?


Edit- are there good forums specifically for this type of car?

They should be able to help...Unless you think there are engine mods done most are pretty easy to spot..

A decat pipe looks like another part of your cat-back exhuast, round, about 3inches in diameter, a cat looks like a big metal box that's had a kicking. Is there any electronic boxes inside the car about the size of a packet of fags, that don't really go with the rest of the interior?
