Hello All

We have booked Houx campsite this year and our support vehicle could tow a caravan does anyone know if you can put a caravan on the pitches instead of tents, we have 6 plots and could use 2 for the caravan instead of tents is this okay to do.

P.S. The plans now are starting to come together and getting excited.

If my caravan is ready by the start of June, i'll probably go last minuite. Looking at Karting Nord if possible. I think you can take caravans onto any site.

Yes you can Billy.
The year before last we made friends with one one side, a bunch of ex-pats who go every year in a chuffing great rented mobile home thingumybob, and on the other side a lovely couple who were touring the EU in an 'interesting' VW Beetle caravanette.

You're not getting a towbar on the Cerb are you?
I'm not bloody convoying with you if you are rofl

The Houx plots are actually quite big, and its common (if you ask nicely) to encroach on your neighbours plot. Last year we had six spots next to each other, and with juts a car and a tent per plot, there was plenty of space for a larger tent, gazebo and even then plenty of additional space.

The ACO say Houx plots are 5m x 7m - there is some danger of getting a tree on your plot which can be a little difficult but if you've got a number of plots you should have some flexibility to sort things out.

We took a Motorhome and 3 cars last year, the plots are plenty big enough unless you get tree....

Christ, what Caravan could withstand the way you'd be towing it, I somehow don't think they're designed for 140mph+ down the N138

We had a big camper van arrive last year and pitch up among our group (one plot in the middle of our group booking) and he had a thumping great tree in the middle of the plot with cars parked either side (few people around either, so couldn't move them),

He just couldn't fit it in, so the campsite attendants appeared to find him a new place...

thanks for the reply hopefully we will have 6 plots next to each other and can get the caravan as headquaters in the middle.

I,am a little bit concerned about your last email though saying that I will be driving 140mph where does it say that I have to slow down.
