... I need one, RFactor is a tad difficult with a cheap joystick. Are there any decent wheels out there below £50? Can't afford to chuck mega money at it!

Under £50?

I don't about this one, but it is a Logitech wheel - Formula Force at Amazon for £39.

I'll sell you my old DFP for 50 quid

Good condition, just needs drivers and you're away.

Cheers Dan, but not really in the position to buy for a couple of months anyway!

I've got a Logitech Formula Force and it's the best wheel I've used yet, other than the newer Logitech Momo and presumably the G25 when I actualy see one! I've tried plenty of wheels and nothing beats the Logitechs for useability and general feel I don't think.

DFP is THE wheel to get for £50 - plenty of them on ebay too.

I recently sold mine to move upto the G25, but the DFP is perfectly capable.

I started with a Driving Force - it's somewhat basic.
Then for a long time I had the Driving Force Pro ("DFP" and was very happy with it. It's a great value-for-money wheel.
Now I've got a G25 and it's better again - I particularly wanted the clutch/shifter arrangement but entire experience is better than the DFP.

Can anyone rate the DFP against the Logitech Momo Racing?

Is it possible to remove the desk clamps completely from one of those - i saw the ps2 version in game the other day for £40 and am interested.

I just tried on my older model and it isn't - the clamps are designed so they don't come out of the unit. However, there are clearly visible screws on the unit itself, so I should imagine taking it apart is fairly easy. Whilst we're on the subject of disassembling these, does anyone know where I can get a new bearing for mine from?

Yes you can.
Look at the attached pic, r/h end, undoe the top thumbscrew and clamp will pull away from underside (same for the l/h end)

Out of interest does anyone know where you can get replacement screws? After 2 years of tightening them right up with a spanner so they don't come off the desk the left hand screw has split meaning I can only finger tighten it now. Do Logitech do spares?

I bought a Driving Force Pro last week for my PS3 and I am disappointed with it. My old Logitech used to vibrate when you went over the armco or had a collision which made it a bit more realistic on formula 1 games and on gran turismo. However, the DFP doesn't and I really annoyed seeing as it cost £70!

Does anyone know if it should vibrate? Anyone else had the same problem?
