iv always wondered when people talk about the sagaris having a wider track than T350, is this just the rear wheels or are the fronts spaced out further aswell? does anyone know exactly how much wider it is? visually from pictures its hard to see.

thanks

Just looked at a couple of sights,

Sag Width 1850mm T350 width 1835mm difference 15mm
length 4057mm length 3974mm differance 83mm
height 1175mm height 1195mm differance 20mm
front track 1510mm front track 1448mm differance 62mm
rear track 1520mm rear track 1492mm differance 28mm
clearance 85mm clearance 100mm differance 15mm

I did have them all spaced, easy to compare but when posted they mess up

Looking at Neil's figures can someone explain why (as Daftlad put it) they are poles apart, as the differences are not that extreme.

Is a T350 running on Nitrons or similar with the geometry set up close to a standard Sagaris.

Is John's statement based on both cars being standard?

Hi Mark, John (Daftlad) posting.

It was based upon both running in standard form. Track is not the only thing that changes however, pick up points are also different.

And of course Billies instead of Harvey Bailey

On the Sagaris its track is wider, the dampers and springs are different, and the suspension pick-up points are different resulting in the spring/damper unit being longer and operating at a less inclined angle. Basically they have more suspension travel whereas the Tuscan/Tamora/T350 can end up running on the bumpstops very quickly. You don't have to drive a Sagaris very far at all to feel that it a much more 'resolved' set-up and it feels much more 'all square' and 'planted' on the road. The newly developed Bilstein replacement dampers that are now available for all the TVR range will hopefully make a difference to how these cars handle and ride. Hope this helps and best regards, Tony
