HELP! gearbox hell.
Discussion
can enyone help please, i want to mount a v6 cossie (bob) in the rear of a kit and wish to know if either of the following is poss.
1, i know i can convert it to work the same as sierra with fwd mt75 which goes through sump but this would make to much of an overhang at back of car, so can the gearing be reversed to enable me to fit it backward ie engine at rear, gearbox forward.
2, is there a sump/g'box maybe of something like a mondeo myx75 that would work like the sierra one and enable me to fit engine transversly.
obviously both g'boxs would need to be later cable change units.
thanxs for your time.

Have to agree with the others. The old Colougne/cossie lump is v. heavy for what it is. The newer Duratec V6 is cheap enough to use with it's transaxle/gearbox, and good for 200 ponies, or more with some inlet/exhaust changes. Gearbox is also good for 350+bhp, since Noble use it in near standard form, or used to before investing in their own 400+ (450+?) bhp transaxle for their new car.
