Cerbera noise related abuse for the public

Was in Godalming Waitrose carpark at 5pm ish today.
Pootling around looking for a space, everyone gawping. Went very slowly past a woman in her early 70s as she loaded her car. She says out loud (my window open) something like ' There is no need to make so much noise'. I then park next to her car. As I get out she says 'Thats a very sleek car but it is far too loud' (She looks very upset!).
So rather than get aggressive I just say 'Why thank you ever so much' with a big smile on my face (As my 7 yr old clambers out).
She then says 'Has it no mufflers'. 'It has a lovely exhaust pipe thanks' I reply.
'It is very noisey' she says aggresively. 'Thanks, it is very very kind of you to say so, I really appreciate it' I reply with a big smile again.
'It is not right to make so much noise and disturb people' she says. 'Thanks' I say , smile and walk off.
Why does an old lady try and have a go at a bloke like me! Weird woman. A young guy was watching and said 'Well I like it' ! That is the first time I have had a proper complaint. Glad I didnt get annoyed with her , hopefully my attitude will really have niggled her !

I think that is a great response, just smile and act like everything they say has been a compliment. Must really wind people up, I know it would me if I was trying to have a grumble

straight trough pipes on a cerbie dont you just love em!!! i started mine up in a tiny narrow street in whitby n-yorks and young lad jumped about 20ft dragging his mam with him. also got pulled by a county mounty recently to tell me what anice car and what are they like to own!! also stops kids walking out on you ......even deaf old biddies can hear them....marvelous!!!!

She must of had her hearing aid turned up to loud.

Cannot think of anybody complaining about the cerb being to loud. Mmmmmm well apart from my neighbour who moved away after I bought the cerb.

We had an old dear who was cutting her hedge gesticulate a little as we approached giving it beans one day...she stood on the pavement waving her arms like some demented bird trying to take off. My daughter and I both pissed ourseves with laughter....it seemed to get funnier with each pass lifting off and getting a fair few cracks and pops... 3 or 4 did the trick

On a nicer note I pulled into Wyevale garden centre in M/Keynes last year with my Chims sleeved exhaust nicely warmed up, parked up only to have a lady (mid 30s ish) come over to me from the other side of the car park and say "I don't know anything about cars but I have to say yours sounds absolutely fantastic"
left me beaming and my girlfriend giggling away.... goes to show there are some ordinary folk who appreciate these cars.

I just like watching the windows come down on cars in the middle lane as you cruise up past them.

I've even had a neighbour call round with her Canadian cousin and asked Pam to start it up for them! I was at work unfortunately otherwise they could have had a ride.
