Huge thanks to Greg for the organizing it. Never thought I'd get back in a 100CC 2 stroke again, but today made me realize just how much fun it is.
Yes, it was wet. Yes we were on slicks. And my god was it fun !

Results will be on the web tomorrow I'm told, including full lap times. Shame the playing field is so uneven with all those munchkins cheating on ballast.
Brilliant day, despite the somewhat inclement weather. So thanks to Greg for organising and deffo up for the next one (and the next).
For anyone who dosn't know, these are 75mph 2 stroke direct drive racing karts and are nothing like the grotty ol bumper cars that you drive at normal karting venues. They'll oil up and stall if you drive too slowly (I know!)and the engine will simply cut out if you lock the rear wheels by breaking too hard, usually resulting in a spin. But once you get the hang of it you'd be hard pushed to have more fun on 4 wheels. Hitting the throttle when you have terminal under-steer (slicks on completely soaked circuit)was the only way to get round most corners!
Where did we come - 1st obviously.
OK there was a 1 in the final position - the 7 and 9 that followed, we conveniently forget about, but as Dan said we were about the only people loading the karts up with ballast (lead weights) at each driver changed over to make the supposed min weight threshold.
The Nobility Teams:
DanH, Adrian W (and John- out on Track) - Nobility Car 2
Mr Noble, Mikey_p, Jools on track and robp taking piccie - Nobility Car 1

I was thinking that I looked like a pro racing driver!
Just mailed you guys out our laptimes split into where I figure we changed drivers.
I included Nobility 2 but don't know where the splits went.
Its funny as you can tell who span on which laps, we all had a few!
Can't wait for the next one. It was awesome!!
