A77 average speed cameras

Please remember to tell your friends these are AVERAGE SPEED CAMERAS (60mph). You can't sit at 80 then slow down when you see a camera, they are programmed to tell how long you have taken between cameras and if you are quicker than you should be your done. Plus you can get done more than once in a journey if you keep speeding and you are recorded at different cameras then you will get multiple tickets / fines / points. Cameras cover southayrshire from 5 miles south of Girvan to Kilmarnock boundry(east Ayrshire)

ing pot of paint and writing it on the road most bloody days). They may or may not be able to clock you if you pass out the timed zone in a different lane to that which you entered it in.

Thats a pretty big gamble if you ask me, do you honestly believe they only watch 1 lane? These fvcking cameras have had a major negative impact on most people in Ayrshire, but due to less accidents they are being hailed a great success. I know a number of people who's daily travel to work has increased by over half an hour due to HGV's being limited to 40mph and causing huge tailbacks on the single carrigeways.

The amount of coverage and jump on the grenade style statements from top cops I'd wager its correct they have only been type approved to monitor travel along a single lane. Remember, this technology was not designed for what the government have bastardised it to do. It was meant to monitor traffic through roadworks to slow drivers down, not just to be stuck anywhere that poor junction design and appauling driving standard make numpties pull out infront of cars going 70mph.
Biggest single improvement that could be made to the A/M77 would be getting rid of bloody national limit signs and replacing them with simple red circled 70's. Then you wouldnt have drivers getting narked and undertaking everywhere because of wallopers cruising at 60 in the outside lane like its a birth right.

Aye, i meant i live halfway along a long strech. Though when i'm travelling at peak times (not often) i take the back roads - the symington junctions are not good places to be.
The camera's are just a cheap half assed way round a piss poor bit of road design. Apparently a new roundabout will be going in near symington/bogend toll, but has been held up due to an investigation into the local badger populance. Please remember, amongst one of this road's many victims is a traffic officer.
Bigdavy - i'm sure i passed you (i was in a focus) on east road, or the road parallel to it, probably at the back of three sometime last week? Was a very similar jag if not.
