Hi all

My T350 "04 needs its 12k service so called Castle and they quoted me £1195. Is this about right? My brothers Ferrari 360 is cheaper than my TVR. Luckily my company pays for it but £1200 for a mid service. I thought thats alot to be honest!!!!

What have others payed? Love to know.................

Take care all

considering your out of warranty why not use an indi and pay half that amount for the same work. Your service book will still be stamped and a good indi stamp carries the same weight as a main dealer stamp.

Its a little on the high side
Normally 900 - 1000 at a dealer assuming nothing else needs doing

£1195 I think I would've burst into a huge biglaugh after being quoted that! Ring around you can get a much better deal than that at really good indi's.

Remember the 12k includes valve clearance adjustment and probably wheel alignment - still a bit high though. 900 quid is about right

From TVR Powers web site 12000 mile service is £694 plus up to £323 extra depending on how many valves need adjustment.
From my own experiences with them over the years I can definetly recommend their work.

This is what I have just been quoted from "Torque RVT" for my Tamora

Hi Kevin

The cost for a 12,000 mile service which is done to the TVR Schedule, for your Tamora is £325.00 plus Vat including all parts and fluids relating to the service.

We would require the car for approx. 2 days. I hope this is of help to you and hope to see you in the near future.

If you would like to make a booking please telephone myself on 01606 831244.

Kind regards

Joanne Golden

If you're in East Anglia then give Kerridges a try in Needham Market - no longer an official dealer (whatever that means nowadays) but loads of TVR expertise, and I am very impressed with their service on my T350 so far...

I have decided to take my three year old car to an indie for a 6000 mile service this year.
I see no point in taking it to a franchised dealer for the official stamp when in reality TVR no longer exist

bout that price from RG. Worth it to keep the warranty though.

You shouldnt need a dealer stamp to keep the warranty.

shouldn't or don't?
I thought it a condition of the warranty to have main dealer servicing?

Who's your warrantey with? If its TVR, its not worth the paper its written on.

With regards servicing. Mine is looked after by Central TVR. Can't falt them. Believe a 12k service is around £600. £1200 seems very expensive.
