hi all,

im thinking of changing my 18inch spyders for some new wheels and tyres on my tamora.i was thinking of a straight swop or may be going to 19inch,has anyone else done this?

1, if so could you please advise me if its straight forward swop to do 18inch change and what the offset is(et)or will the geo need redoing for the new wheels?.

2, if i do 19inch swop will i need to get the cars geo redone?.

ive not seen to many tamoras with changed wheels has anyone got any pics, cos i want to see what they look like with differant wheels,to see if i like them without spyders.

im thinking of 5 spoke split rimms.

advice and comments please as unsure still if to do this.

thanks in advance.

I think you might find that 19 inch rims might compromise the handling and ride of the car. Also, you may need to get your wheel arches modified to accommodate the larger wheel.

Jason - dunno about the wheels, but if you can turn up to the next Sussex meet with the blonde accessory on this Porker, I think the Sussex Massive would be suitably impressed

thanks everybody else for your advice and websites you have donated to me, i think i will go for 18inch as that is what i have all ready on car and i dont want to compromise the handling, just got to choose the wheels now, will probably go for something like the hyper spyder silver alloys on tvr power website when i make the decision to do it

I have 19" Traffic star wheels on mine that were fitted when I purchased it and I have no real difference between and these and the 18" spiders in terms of performance or driveabilty.

I had 19" Jordans on my T350t, ie the one TVR were offering just before they shut. These are the ones TVR power had on their black Sag, but in 19". Arches didn't need modifying.

If you get the wright profile tyre, then the rollong radius of the 19" should be the same as the 18", therefore there is no physical difference on the wheel dimensions, your just replacing more metal in the middle for less rubber sidewall?
