very interesting.. Did find it strange that they broke up the glass with wooden sticks though thought that may have introduce some flaws in the glass.

So let me get this right - it's a 500mm EF F4 IS USM lens..

i always used to think that the cost of high end lenses was extortion, but now i can see that a hell of a lot more work goes into them than i had previously thought!
