This has probably already been covered but cant find it the threads......so sorry for asking again.

Need a good garage for servicing and a wee bit of bodywork repair due to stone chips and what looks like a previous poorly repaired damage on a 944s2.....

Can anyone recommend someone in or around the glasgow area please.

If you're willing to travel to Edinburgh, Brian Miller Motors on Lanark Road lane is good, I've used him for years-he knows his Porsche inside out imo.

Peter McCanna at Motortune in shotts is worth the journey - the best porsche man in scotland (and reasonably priced too!!) For bodywork Steve Walker's bodyshop in bathgate is worth a visit - did the front end of my GT3 and it was a great job.

Apart from the official OPC at Bearsden (Glasgow), i have heard that George Morrison from Rutherglen knows his stuff, especially with the older models. Let me know how you get on as when i eventually get my 996 then it may be handy for me:

George Morrison Motors, 130 Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen, Glasgow Tel: 0141 643 1768

Edit - I also noticed in the car section in Fridays Sun newspaper of a "Stuart Mackay" who claims to be Scotlands largest independent Porsche dealer?? Not sure if he deals with the technical side of things but with such a claim you would think he must - Surely, Anyway, here is the link to his website - I have never heard of him or saw him advertised anywhere from Autotrader to Pistonheads.www.porschegb.com/

Have experience of G Morrison and the Shotts based independent. George is first class. I wouldn't give my porsche to anyone else (including OPC). He really cares about the cars. Genuine guy. Will talk you through the problems/options. In fact, once you get him going he'll stand and chat all day! Exactly what an enthusiast wants.
