Wii Virtual Console
Discussion
Got my Wii on order and one of the main things I am excited about is playing some classic SNES, N64 and Megadrive games on it. I see the internal memory is only 512MB and whilst extra space is available using an SD card for the games to run they need to be transferred to the internal memory first.
Just curious ...
- how big are the games? Is that internal memory going to fill very very quickly?
- what is max size of SD card compatible with Wii ?
- how quickly does it transfer from Wii internal memory to SD card and back?

cool. Can;t wait to download the back catalogue. More excited about that than the Wii games i've ordered.
it was very odd playing Sonic on a Nintendo console. Make sure you get either a GameCube or Classic controller as everything other than NES and Megadrive games requires it. GC is best.

Yeah - read about that. Not sure which way to go yet. Have the Wii and additional wii remote (with Wii Play) and nunchuck on order. Never had a game cube so don't know how good/bad the controller is - though loved every other controller Nintendo have created. Will probably just get a couple of the classic controllers.
Been reading about the PAL/NTSC issue. For instance it mentions Sonic is substantially slower than NTSC counterpart. Does that mean it is slower than I would be used to from the original Megadrive days? Or was that also slower then NTSC Megadrives in the states?
BTW - www.vc-reviews.com/ is great. I spent hours drooling over Mean Machine reviews so it's good to see a revival.
