I am considering getting some decat pipes in addition to my Carbon Cans has anyone got both of these? What I want to know is will it be too loud? I am now used to the pops from the cans & want to make them a little louder. Any recommended suppliers for decat pipes? (I want to get replacement pipes as if it is too loud I can put the cats back on)

TBH its not for me. A trip of 300 miles or so is going to be a nightmare. If you only use the car for less than 100mile trips than its probably OK but anything more than that you will need plugs and even than a number of stops to get a bit of a rest.

However if you only use the car for shortish journey and want a car to wake the dead then go for it !

That is what I thought until I went for a long drive on Sat. From the inside with roof on you really don't notice much difference except when you put your foot down quickly there is a louder roar. With the roof off the pops & bangs are much more noticable but for motorway cruising the car doesn't sound much louder. The noise is now all exiting out the back so from the inside it is still fine but outside all hell lets loose.evil

I agree, it's only over 3000rpm it REALLY GETS LOUDER!

No different to CCC's on a trip cruising.

decat and sleaved cans, most of the sound goes out the back, lucky on lookers. dont really realise how good it sounds until you have the roof off and are in a built up area.

Where are you based? The decat pipes are £150 + vat from TVR parts ltd. You will need to get the TVR power cip as well for it to make a real difference (increases fuelling etc). I got it all done at Torque RVT in Middlewich for £370 inclusive of supply fit & chip(he can get cans for £150 incl Vat). See www.torquervt.co.uk/ for details.
