I currently have toyo proxes on my 4.5 cerb and they work well in wet & dry. I think that the other main alternatives are Goodyear's.

Would go for Toyos as well. They are very good in the wet and ideal in the dry.
Had them on various TVRs and all have performed very well.

Prices are good too.

The Toyo T1R is the way to go, I used to run Avon ZZ3s which are great but if over-abused they would distort (although never known of any supply problem with Avon though??) I started with the T1S and now have the T1R, a bit slippy for the first 500 miles but then they just go off and are brilliant right down to the legal minimum, never needed rebalancing.
Cost a bit more than the Avon but worth it. yes

a vote for the Toyos from me, too.

I found them better than the SO2s they replaced, particularly in the wet.

Moved to the Falken 452s (a ricers favourite ) after riding on Toyos. No complaints so far.

T1-R is the newer tyre, and it has a circumferential groove or two around the shoulders. It looks like it's going to have more wear-resistant shoulders as a result (which the T1-S seems suffer from a bit). The T1-S has the V-shaped grooves right to the edge.
