Collect my chim on sat and thought i'd get a better alarm fitted while the dealer gets it ready for me to collect.

At present it has the imobilser (little fob gets stuck in the slot by the key hole on the dash) but thats it- no central locking fob or anything else.

Can i get a clifford as i'd like all the remote boot, remote start stuff- but can i get remote lock with no central lock as std?

Also- anyone recommend a GOOD installer in the Kent area?

You'll find it does have central locking - maybe the central locking fob wasn't on the key ring when you went for a test drive?

If you find that, for whatever reason, it's not fitted with C/L, Sempal do a two door universal central locking kit for about £60 that should be able to interact with an alarm. Mind you, I have no idea how the locking mechanism inside a Chimaera's door is structured, so it might not be suitable.

If it's the standard Meta system it should have an ignition key, an plastic immobiliser release and a fob with a C/L radio button (unless it's had the alarm system changed/replaced or upgraded in which case all bets are off!).

Agree with Hut49 it should have the remote locking/alarm 'plipper' (otherwise you couldn't lock/unlock the doors - unless I've missed something). Also you should get the original 2 sets of keys/plipper etc. A friend had problems getting a duplicate 'plipper' when he only had 1 with the car.
Good luck!

Hmm - if the car doesnt come with the key fob then I suggest that it isnt lockable at all. Strange! If the alarm is playing up then a seller might not mention that it is missing.
