Compact camera and video resolution

[rex]

I am considering the purchace of one of these units www.lemonchase.com/dentalmicroscopes.htm and have found that you can attach a compact camera to it. I can obvoiusly then take stills and movies. I have had a quick look around for the video recording resolution of compact cameras but it is not often listed. Does anyone know what the maximum resolution for recording video is on a compact camera. I am not interested in Mp but the camera has to have a very good lens.
