If these speed camera areas are obviously danger areas maybe we should be using our horns to alert other drivers, pedestrians, local councillors etc as to our whereabouts.... any suggestions I'm all up for starting something here

Thats a bloody good idea...

If every time anyone opposed to a badly place speed camera sounded their horn as they drove past it (during legal hours of course) how narked would the residents who requested it get?

The thought of 10,000 cars an hour sounding their horns on the A4 would be quite amusing...

Could do the same thing with speed humps, chicanes, pinch points etc, as they in themselves are clearly hazards which other road users need warning about...

All that says is you cant use your horn after 11.30 and that you shouldnt use it whilst stationary.

Neither of the above pose a problem...

I thought this might generate some interest, you see it's quite legal to warn other road users of your presence, as it's so obviously a danger zone it would obviously be the most sensible & safest thing to do.

I'm all up for making my presence aware at danger & safety zones.......
