wednesday ferry or thursday ferry?
Discussion
I would go on the Wednesday if you can. The campsites are much emptier so you can choose your spot rather than having to squeeze in somewhere. You also have more time to explore, go into the city centre, do the pit walk, drivers parade and all the other bits that make it such a great weekend. More time for
as well!
as well!Going on thursday as previous years and always loads to do.
Put your 'tourist head' on , and maybe explore some nearby towns or villages.
Been to a place called 'la Fleche ' about 40km from LM, for chill out al fresco meals in the town square, listening to the odd V8 rumble from a fellow Lm tourist, echo off the cobbles!
Also there's the free pitwalk on the Friday too....

Get the Wed morning ferry, arrive mid afternoon. That get us in two full nights of practice sessions and then the free-for-all on Friday. Going to suss out the Classic British Welcome this year after the Friday morning fun.
I prefer getting there early for the same reasons mentioned by others, better choice of camping spot and more time for LM beers.

Getting there Wednesday gives you a chance to enjoy the 1st qually session, then on Thursday night you can avoid the crowds and go somewhere else, into town, down to Indy/Arnage and the little town around those parts.
There is so much to do, you'll not be stuck.
And of course, as mentioned, a few more beers in
