Sorry to post another negative thread but can someone please explain to me why my tuscan with a new engine, 12 months warranty, new seats, new rear screen, recent tyres, new clutch infact new everything (see profile) has not sold at what I really consider to be, silly money.

I am sick of emails asking hundereds of questions then someone walking away because the shocks are 2 years old!!

What does a buyer of a used car expect!!! Its not new, I never had this problem selling an older german car!

Anyway the good news is that I'm keeping it and keeping one of the best TVRs made all to myself and enjoy it so buyers youve missed a steal!

Please please please for the sake of resale can people stop being so god damn negative about these wonderfull machines!!

I feel for you mate. The number of 'knowledgable' Tuscan buyers is small indeed. Choice is large.
The tide will turn.
And if it doesn't then you're still driving the best looking car on the road. Period.

I've decided not to even try and sell my Tuscan at the moment. When I advertised it in this good site a few months ago I only seemed to only get calls from timewasters and test pilots. It seems that the troubles at TVR are dragging all sorts of chancers out of the woodwork.

I've just checked your add, and i think that even though your car is a complete giveaway, Other 2000 cars are going for 15 give or take a few, that may be putting people off of your car even though it's an excellent example at a excellent price!!!

Me and dad are looking for a tusc' now, but yours is out of our budget!

hope you can sell the car for non-silly money!

Unfortunately this is similar for a number of performance cars, not just TVR's. Some people like warranty's when they get expensive toys and the comfort of a stealer to buy from.

Keep it and enjoy it.

You can sell it. It is worth about £12,000.00. If you are interested in selling it then I will put you in touch with a dealer who would be interested.

not a great time of the year to sell. Good cars generally sell for good prices.

mmmm again it reiterates my earlier points. There are porkers on her that are 2 years older with 100k on the clock, which are selling for more!!

When you consider that they both cost nearly the same new then it makes you wonder what the hell people make of TVRs.

Mine has a NEW engine, a NEW clutch etc etc and the dam thing is made of fibreglass which I'm sure isn't going to rust away.

The expectations people impose on TVR just makes me angry that’s all!!!!!!!!!! Its hand built for gods sake

Here endeth the rant

Its a really hard situation selling prestiege cars Im affraid a few years ago I parted company with a 1999 (v) SL320 V6 it had 40K on the clock and was in show room condition traders were trying to sell them at £26+ meanwhile I had mine up for £20K and didn't see a single bite of interest in the end I had to part ex it and got £15K banghead

If it was any consolation I was concidering your car but have been stalled by money issues. You might have more luck if wanted to try selling it in 2-3 months...
