I think this is very cool indeed, looks very close compared to the real thing.
What do you all think?

PLEASE tell me thats not based on a Fiero! Space frame and v8 it, yes, DO NOT let a Fiero or MR2 anywhere near it. Replica's are more than about looks, but we have all been there several times havent we? A Gallardo with a four or strangled six-pot is quite frankly horrific, and equally sad. If you want to get noticed driving, buy a big hat.

Yep its based on a fiero, I think I read(not 100% sure) that the owner planned on doing a V8 archie conversion on it., I will agree with you that some replicas are more about looks than power but you cant call the fiero a bad car, I drove an 87 2.8 Gt once, great handling, ample power and with the tuning kits for the 2.8 it can be turnrd into a fairly rapid car, if thats not enough power look at a V8 conversion- www.v8archie.com/ . Personally I would only drive a proper replica like you mentioned i.e custom chassis, nice engine- Sienna countach, Lamberti ls3, E.G Autokraft Daytona but each to their own.
You cant slag his workmanship though, he made the body entirely by himself, working from pics etc. and I think it looks pretty nice.
