He basically said he would re-introduce the Sagaris and Griffith (sticking a 500bhp Melling engine in the latter) and would make the cars more sporting, whatever that means.

He also said he'd introduce the Wildcat as a new TVR model. Then he said he needed 30 ex-TVR people in Rochdale, in addition to the 130 he planned to re-employ at TVR.

Time will tell I guess...

Make a Sagaris more, err, sporting - hmmm I wonder, fit the front grille with a meat shredder perhaps?

yikes I know I've been in exile from Granada-land for a while, but has there been some sort of nuclear accident up there, where Gordon Burns was solely responsible for the clean-up?

I was told by one of the ex-sales guys on Saturday night (didn't catch his name) that the Sagaris drove just like a Ford Focus...which left me bemused as he then went on to ask if I could would I buy a new TVR...if I wanted a car that drove like a Focus, I would go and buy a Focus and pocket the remaining 40k or so.

Back on topic, Al's saying all the right things and seems to neatly gloss over any fall out he had with PW in that interview. Good luck to the chap.

Regards
Iain
