Laptop battery

Hi I am just about to fit 2 new batteries. 1 for a laptop, 1 for a tablet PC. Anything I should be aware before I disconnect the old battery and replace?

As long as they are direct replacements I can't foresee any problems - I frequently remove my fully charged battery from my laptop to aid in cooling (the battery can get quite warm).
