So took the other car out on sunday

Fortunately got out of hospital today with just 50 stiches to my scalp abd bruising to my back. Upshot is that we have come to the decision that a car without airbags is not for me, as the kids and my wife want me in one piece,
and this happenned out of no where
So suggestions to replace my 4.2 and also do you know of anyone after a perfect 4.2 with a spare 4.5 engine and gearbox 393bhp fettled with by track car.

went to over take and found it not safe to do so, pulled back in and as I did so, according to my mates follwoing me, smoke went up from the rear of the car, the car then span side ways, flipped on to the roof, before goin in to a ditch and goinf end over end before taking out a few trees and landing on a concrete block

Thats scary! Any ideas what might have happened then? Good you're in pretty much one piece still!
In terms of replacing your Cerb & keeping everyone happy, I guess some sort of recent Porsche would give you something close ish to the performance but with airbags?

no idea, only found one skid mark, indicaring that tone of the wheels locked up adn threw it, re enging pm me with a offer

Maybe better to spend some money on driver training than a car with airbags? "Active safety"...

The Cerb may not have airbags but it does has a full integral rollcage.

No, it appears that one of the wheels locked or drive locked out on one of the wheels then became a passenger,as it instantly put me sideways, on to the roof and then into a ditch adn then end over end etc

I did think about that, however I nearly lost my eyes and however hard it will be I am going to miss the cerb with out a doubt as it is THE BEST CAR IN THE WORLD. However family comes first

Shoot ! You were lucky to keep your sight. Hope it is bearable and you are holding up well and not too upset. Nast shock. I think you are right, get yourself something indestructable! How about an M3 ?

ps had a horrific incident about 9 months ago where a close friends 6 yr old got some pretty horrific facial injuries ie face hanging off. We had to run with him through a forest and park to get help. He had about 30 stitches or so. He was lucky to not lose an eye as well. The scaring took a few months to settle down ie for the redness to go. He is having a couple of ops to help it straighten out but basically the surgeons etc are so good these days his scar should fade well. It runs from the top of his forehead across the top of the eye brow , round the eye socket and across the cheek. So to me that bodes well for you and minimising the scarring.
