As it stands my group might drive two cars down, a BMW trackday car (hopefully) and a Xantia support vehicle (or some sort of support vehicle anyway). What is the best way of having two cars there? I don't really want to buy two campsite tickets as it makes it rather expensive (it will be expensive enough already), and the campsite is probably sold out by now... How much do the car parks cost?

I think you have to have a campsite ticket per car.

Personally I'd try and being sneaky and go in with one pass one one car.
Then take it off that car, walking out to the other, putting it on that one and then drive in with that one.

You could just get a car parking pass for one car, then just dump it until it's time to drive back.

You problem will be having to hike (or ferry in the other car) everything from the car-park car to the camp site.

That is indeed the case for Houx and I believe the other sites too.

You could try transferring stickers though, but uou'll have to pre-stick it carefully though (on top of vaseline or something), as the tickets are designed to rip on removal. Get a car cover for the non-stickers car or just park right at the back of the site if possible and you should be OK.

Yes by previous experience, the reuse of tickets is going to be tricky to say the least... I'm camping at the far end of Beausejour too I believe, so we are a bit short of nearby car parks...

If you camp on Bleu then the Bleu car park is just next door. 1 camping pass, 1 car park pass and you can get the two vehicles reasonably close together.

I never bothered using the 'death tape' they provide as it really doesn't come off.

Cue blue tack, and some French people waving to me as I was driving into the Annexe. One wouldn't let me in unless I stuck it down. So I reversed out of the entrance, turned around, and went to another entrance where the chappie didn't have a care in the world.

Without wishing to piss on your parade why don't you just buy a second BSJ ticket? They are pretty cheap for what you get and still available from the ACO. It avoids giving the ACO any further reason to penalise the brits more than they do already for taking up too much space and generally taking the piss.

Been using a roll of Masking tape for camping pass for the last few trips with no bother from the 'camp attendants'.
A friend of mine still has the' super glue' residue on his windscreen from LM 2003!

I'll be watching

I reckon you do what the fellows here are suggesting. You only need your BSJ one to get in to the main site then I will send you an extra one for our area. All you need to do is have your support vehicle wait outside the campsite. Get your first through the gate and then swap the pass over to the support vehicle. Then you can just park your extra car outside our gates

Thanks Guy, I didn't think it would be that simple. However we thought about it today and we can't see a financially viable way of doing it yet...

I tend to put vaseline (or rather lip salv) on the screen, then undo the corners of the camping ticket and attach it to the vaseline. Ticket stays on for the week, but the sticky residue doesn't stay on for ever.

That's what we're having to do since ACO came up short on our allocation. We've got 5 bikes in our party so need one pass each for them, so there will be more than enough space for us.

As for sticking the pass to something, if you're on a bike they're quite happy for you to have it around your neck in a ticket wallet!
