Replacement Aerial

Hi Rob,
Back in the days of the S *sigh*, I fitted a bee-sting type aerial that had a signal amplifier built-in to the base (which I powered off the electric aerial feed on the stereo) and it transformed the radio reception.
I did try and find out where I bought it from but I don't have the info any more. However, I do remember that it was from one of those online parts retailer types so you'd probably be able to track one down with a bit of browsing.

Richard, great to hear from you, how are things?
That sounds ideal, will have a search around when next back at home.
I don't think I've power to the aerial right now, but I'll need to signal wire from head unit to amplifier to switch that one or off (alongside audio signal cables), so could put something through at the same time to power the aerial amp.

I don't think I have ever had my radio on, infact I don't even know if it works!...why would you want to spoil the lovely sound of the engine!!
Alas, when covering long distances on big roads I find the wind noise covers up the V8 burble, so I need the stereo to blast over that. Down to normal speeds and I switch onto Rover V8 FM

All is going very wll thanks mate, busy with work, cars and kids, but wouldn't have it any other way. Will have to catch up some time for a

Just ordered it, sounds just the trick as as I'm planning to cable across some power for an amplifier, I might as well sort the radio at the same time... Damn that picture of your diamond cut wheels puts mine to shame, phooey to you for making me want to spent more money!

I got them powder coated in the end in fact, which is why they stayed looking so good, and it was cheaper to get done in the first place too! Go on, you know you want to...!
