How is this achieved on the Monaro? I gather is it possible, but what's the mechanism?

Also, how easy is it to fix/replace/re-seal a door skin? It looks like I've got a little bit of water coming through on the drivers door (I can see droplets where the plastic door card meets the metal).

I have had the same door leak ever since I picked the car up from a Vauxhall dealer last month. They have promised to "find out" how to fix it and so far I have heard nothing. My confidence in them being able to fix it is slowly fading.

With regards to the camber / toe in etc. Speak to Roger at Monkfish. He was explaning it to me on Monday and it I think what he says would improve the car's handling.

I ask because when I had new rear tyres fitted before Christmas I had a full 3D geometry check done and it revealed. I have a little more negative camber (1 degree rather than 0.1 or whatever) on the front than standard. I was thinking of changing it back to see how the car behaves.

I degree of neg is not a lot to worry about, If you revert back to 0.01 it will not turn in as quick, thats the down side, the upside is the inner edges of your front tires will last a little longer with 0.01.

I've just had the door leak problem sorted under warranty at Picador, might be worth giving them a call. They also changed an oxygen sensor and the passenger seat belt under wartanty, provided a courtesy car and cleaned the ro before returning it. Excellent service.

I've already had a door seal replaced under warranty (it's a common problem) but I'm not sure if replacing/resealing the door skin would be. The warranty only covers water ingress for 1 year.

Was it the door seal or the actual membrane covering the inside of the door that was fixed?

I think it was the membrane, picador said they had done several, might be worth giving their servive dept a call, I think it is Andy I deal with.

2.5 degrees rear camber(as specified in GTS-R spec) and I put 2 degrees on front and did it take the corners well. But if you talk of public highways I defy you to experience the difference, but take it on the track and then you will but I do not hear of many doing this!!!

Hey Mackie1,

My leaky door was not fixed properly at the same place you took your car to (no names no pack drill...). Each big rainy day the water simply pissed into the car, worse than ever.

I decided to try Greens, I've just got it back from them today and they say they had to fix the membranes (unlike the other lot who claimed they wre OK) - promised me it's gonna be OK this time too!

Also took the opportunity of having a ripshifter fitted - wow! Different car or what??!!

Thanks Brian, I took your reccomendation a while back, much, much better turn in and no adverse effects on tyres either.

Interesting! I've definately got a leaky membrane so I may pop down to greens at some point. Was it done under warranty again?

Yep. They're a bit of a pain to get to, but they get my business from now on, methinks.
