Okay,

I have 20K to spend on a new car (and it can't be second hand)

Stipluations - Must be a 4 door, economical and at least fun to drive as it will be my second home for the next 3 years.

What do you advise or reccomend.

Just replaced a Mazda 6 MPS with a Monaro. The Mazda was quick, comfy, reasonably good on fuel and a laugh in either the wet or dry. Highly recommended.

You might get a Vectra VXR for that.

Try the Mazda 6 MPS - It's four wheel drive not front wheeled. I hate torque steer!

Impreza WRX. A mate has just picked one up from a Car Supermarket for around £15k which is a fantastic bargain. Nice and quick as well.

That's a lot of car for the money if you can stick the never ending depreeciation (true of all Vauxhalls mind you)
