Over a pint we have discussed not taking the fast cars
this year but buying old bangers, stickering them up etc
and driving them to Le Mans.
If 6 of us partack it would be great fun bumping into each other
etc on the way down and generally Fcensored about.
I really like the idea

Do it do it do it...!

If It wanst for the fact im trying t osave a new (proper) car with a view to having it in time for le mans, I'd be doing the same. Although my current car which I may end up taking is not far off banger status! What are you thinking? Cabrio would be good...

We've talked about doing this for the past couple of years, with prizes for the fastest, the slowest etc etc but we've always talked ourselves out of it and gone with the fast cars.....

Spoke to a bunch of guys at a service station last year that were doing this. I think they had a budget of £250 and had to get the most powerful car possible. One had a BMW 740, another a Rover 800 and another Saab something or other. Apparently one of the other guys had a Siera but crashed it into a barrier doing part of the Le Mans track so ditched it somewhere laugh. They to had test such as top speed tests, best handling (i think the Siera lost that one) and things like this. Looked like a right laugh though and will definatly do it one year.

Fair enough. I was looking at getting one instead of my cab mobile, thought it would be quite an amusing car to bomb around in
