My XJ8 is stalling while I am driving but if I turn it off and turn it back on again it restart's and away i go. The dealer wants alot of money to replace the Throttle Body! I am not so sure that's the answer! While researching PistonHeads I came across others who have had a similiar problem . Anyone who can help me with this I am all ears.

Anyone have contact information for EonBlue? He posted some valuable information in 2003 and 2004 related to this topic.

Hi Mike

The throttle body was subject to a recall on the XK8, V8XJ Series and V8 Daimler models.

You might want to check if this has been done.

Sounds just like my throttle body issue. I stalled in the fast lane of the M40 which wasn't nice.
All fixed as part of a recall

I have had this very occasionally. Usually before the engine has fully warmed up, driving along steadily at 60-70mph, then lift off for a slip-road and it dies.

Does this sound like the same thing then?

If so, then that's another part of the car to be replaced - it's practically a new car anyway!

I took it in to the dealer and brought that to their attention and they said they haven't heard a thing about it?
