been searching for a bit on here now but cant find anyone that has them fitted to there monaro, is there anyone and if so what decent quality kits are recomended as there seems to be an awful lot to choose from.

I fitted them on my Elise and they have been a bit of a pain tbh. Not that cheap either.

Technically illegal too, not that you are likely to be pulled, HID fitment requires a self levelling system & water jets for cleaning, here is a company that supplies the bulbs:

Only if they are original equipment, not retro-fit.

seen adaptor kits from the US that retail for around 40-50 quid a side, plug into the standard loom. for a cheaper solution replace the normal beam lights with full beam version and have your lights raised a couple of clicks. see here for discussion on these methods - replacement bulbs are around 15 quid for two from consumabulbs.com

hmmmm sounds interesting the cheaper option for now but HID's i still want lol

got mine (a pair) from autobulbsdirect.com for £15.99 delivered and it included a pair of xenon side light bulbs free. There are three types of side light bulbs, the default ones they send are the ones that fit. I just removed the piece in the bulbs with a stanley knife (took about 30 seconds per bulb). They don't locate perfectly as the tabs are slightly different, one went straight in but the second had some chopping about. I was looking for a set of HID's, tried the bulb swap and saved loads of money and install time and the difference is probably nearly the name as HID's. Part number was BLBH9X.

Have I got this right.....
standard dip beam bulb is 55w H11, main beam 65w H9
You can get brighter bulbs claiming to produce 50% more light
or you can modify a H9 to replace the H11
where do the H7's go ?
