Hi all, just thought I'd introduce myself, I currently live in Scarborough but pending an interview next week should be moving to Edinburgh to start a new job.

Do you guys do any rides out? I am waiting for another meeting (yawn) before I buy another car but have narrowed it down to a Maserati 430, BMW 750iL or a classic Jag V12 Sovereign.

Look forward to meeting some of you sometime.

Hi Mark,
I'm based in Edinburgh when I'm not away working. Most of the meets appear to be around track days at Knockhil Circuit, but the odd run out does happen, just watch this forum. Do you know where in Edinburgh you will be located?

As close to the city centre as possible for living, the territory I will be covering with work is all of Scotland yikes

You wont want to be living too close to the city centre - getting in and out of Edinburgh at peak times is a NIGHTMARE! I lived there for a few years for Uni. You`ll want somewhere with easy access to the city bypass.

Yeah you dont need to be that close since everything in the centre is a 20min bus or cab ride. JK is right you waant to be close to the bypass. I stay in Corstorphine and its great for going North over the bridge and west to Glasgow not to mention south round the bypass. Unfortunately my journeys are mainly to the airport!

You'll need deep pockets if you're going to cover it in a Jag V12 or a 750iL.

John,
I'm on the Glasgow Road, opposite the church, you wont see it this weekend since I'm taking it down to London today to meet some other Pistonheads, will be back on Sunday but then have to head back to Russia on Monday. Once the warmer weather is here it should be about a lot more.
