Just looked into getting a new clutch (as sun is out). Details below.

-------Labour 187.68 + vat = £220.52
-------Original TVR clutch 270.41+ vat = £317.73 (clutch cover, friction plate and release bearing)
-------Total £538.25 inc

Is this a good deal?

Cheers.

I'd say thats a good/fair price. I payed about £250-300 for parts when i didit myself and it took me two days to do. An experianced TVR mechanic with a proper lift will probably do it in under 3-4hours.

Certainly seems about right, think I paid £330 for the clutch from HHC (V8 Developments could do one for £185 but had none in stock at the time....) and for £180 odd I'd pay someone to do it.....I didn't, but probably would as T5 boxes are quite heavy to bench press by yourself (as I found out) - if you've got a mate round it's another matter!

Just paid £525 for clutch at PPC (formerly TMS) Melton mowbray, so I think your quote is pretty much the normal rate.

£500 is the going rate only though if genuine Tvr parts are used. There is a difference in price & quality
