got a call from them yesterday, trying to make me confirm passenger details on the super saver tickets I bought, when a member of their staff had already confirmed that I would not need to inform them until nearer the time... got the 
'I'm sorry sir that note doesn't appear to be on our file anymore'
Seems like the cheap tickets may be too good to be true and they are trying their hardest to get the extra £10 out of people for making booking changes

I've used them for 6-7 crossings now. And have a 10 crossing ticket I paid £190 for. I think they're brilliant.
Yes, my crossing has been changed on the Thursday morning going out there, but they'd been selling tickets on the basis that their second boat would be in service by then, and it turns out it's not going to be. So I've got another 40 minutes in bed on the Thursday morning - hardly the end of the world.
I was pissed off paying £170 for a "normal" ferry before speedferries came into existence. Now I'm paying £38 and the crossing take 1/2 the time. Great I say. And it's also great that the other ferry operators are having to bring their prices down to be more in-line with them. The sub £50 return crossing to France is specifically thinks to speedferries. OK, so they're not perfect - but what is?

I used Speedferries for the return crossing last year at £19 (bike) yet this year it would have been £25. As it was full anyway, I'm now going P&O for only £17. Go figure?

There is no doubt that Speedferries have massively impacted pricing out of Dover, despite the concerted attempts of the other operators to put them out of business. I wish we had them down in Dorset, as Brittany Ferries want £247 return for Poole-Cherbourg that week... unsurprisingly it's not fully booked even though there are only about 2 sailings per day.
Regarding the changes to the Speedferries' crossing times, I called them last week when I got notified of a 4 hour delay to my original return time on the Monday. Speedferries told me that they originally planned to have a second boat in service by the time Le Mans came around, but the refit has been delayed so the second boat won't be on service by Le Mans week, so they've had to reorganise sailing times around just the single boat.
