106 Exhaust

Can someone please tell me what this art of my car is??

On the exhaust under the manifold, just past the bend in exhaust there is a lead joins onto it! What is it and what does it do? as it has popped out on my way to shop leaving a hole around 1.2 inch round!

this my friend would be the lambda sensor and it monitors your exhaust gases to see whats getting in their then it sends the results to the ecu to give you either less or more fuel air etc.

there will be people on here who can tell you more but i bet its blowing like mad!

Was indeed as you say blowing like mad! Now sorted after being raped for £345 for a new one and new cat pipe or summit!

jesus christ i had my car 2 years exhaust has started blowing in around 20 different places, nothing a welder and some 'modification cant fix
