Have a lok around here...
www.ukmotorhomes.net/hire_b.shtml

I've hired one for a few years. depends where your from as to nearest place to hire from.
try and find one that will do mid-week till mid-week. As some will charge for 2 weeks
I've used Tilshead Caravans several times. very good prices.
And i think Vivanti Motorhomes actually to a LeMans package (or they used to)
Hope this helps.

Thanks for this I'll have a look, we came to Le Mans for the first time last year and we took a car and camped. Had a great time but this year we thought we'd try a motorhome so we can weigh up the difference in experience. Does anyone have pros/cons on either tenting it or going in a motorhome?

We are Hoping to wipe the Carrefour clean of its beer supply and stack it to the rafters in our house on wheels!

Try here.
These are private individual who will rent out their motorhomes. Lot cheaper than some of the hire companies.

This year we have this.

It must cost a bleeding fortune on the ferry?

Motorhomes are one of those things that you'd never want to own, but its really good if your best mate has one!

Out of interest, how much was the ferry crossing in that?

Our ferry crossing with P&O this and last year was the same amount for our motorhome and the cars!!!

Our one:

We loved taking the motorhome and that's why it's on the road again for this year.

Adds a real healthy dose of comfort!! Clean shower, toilet, flat screen satellite TV for watching the race when not at the track! And a fully stocked kitchen and fridge!!!!

One thing, bear in mind that these big boys won't keep up with a typical Le Mans convey, so plan for the slower journey time for the motorhome. This year we are going in two groups, Motorhome on Tuesday, everyone else catching it up at some point on Wednesday!!! cool

Speed of journey in a motorhome is a valid point. Will have to take that into account.

Also the amount of fuel used! Do you know if these things drink fuel like I drink beer? drink

The fuel consumption is now worrying me yikes

For me part of the experiance is the journey there and back, and so after 3 or 4 years of motorhomes, have last year (and this) gone back to camping. The fun of driving down in a Cerbera, chassing a Lambo at silly speeds was un-beatable.
Did miss the fridge and shower though.
And my TVR was just as good/bad on fuel as a camper (well nearly)

Yeah, ours is a 2.8 Turbo Diesel lump and having the aerodynamics of a bus, the fuel consumption is pretty awful!!
