Wifee just back from Aberdeen OPC after my 996's 1st service since I got it.

Very polite, no grief, complementary about the car, finished 2 hours earlier than originally quoted and was "only" £335 - pretty much the menu price! clap Also no "issues" lurking that they could find. They mentioned to her another similar one they'd had in a couple of days ago where the issues ran to a few pages - ouch

Only downside is that they tried to get her to take a 1/2 day Cayenne test drive...... tank

Good to hear, especially since I'm awaiting delivery of a new car from them in the not to distant future.
I've had an issue with them in the past, but it was dealt with politely and professionally so no compalints from me either I'm afraid !!

Yup got an opc warranty (arranged through the indie I bought it from), 9 months into the year and not a sausage to claim on it yet.....hopefully that will continue for a long time yet!

I have heard a lot of good reports about Aberdeen OPC. I have ordered a Cayman S from them. They have always courteous and helpful. They lent me a Cayman S for the day, so my wiife could check it out as a passenger annd have a drive.

My former neighbour had bought a Boxter S from them. When he moved down south he wanted to get a Cayenne for his business. Due the attitude from the OPCs down there, he eventually bought it from the Aberdeen OPC. They met him in the Lake District on the M6 to deliver it.

Those b'stads at Cambridge did EXACTLY the same thing to me. Twice. And not only that but they faught tooth and nail to get the factory to pay for the dodgy clutch they made.

I fully expect next time I go there I'll get more of the same: Polite, reliable and reasonable.

It makes me sick to the stomach

The ones in Harston? They do come across as pretty good although I've not done more than an MOT so far. The service manage was very helpful too and the parts dept has been as I'd like it.

Just down the road too, must. resist. temptation. to. buy. the. shiny. new. cars.

I suspect not all OPCs are created equal!!

I thought all MOTs were contracted out? This is because all MOT centres are obliged to test any car presented to them and OPCs don't want pieces of crap in their lovely workshops...

Don't you lot take the piss out of us!! Do you think we're all a load of f-ing idiots! We ALL know there's no such thing as a good OPC. They are all a load of money grubbing ba5tards and should all be shot.

I suspect you lot all work for Porsche GB and are trying to con us all.

I've got an invite to the OPC at Harston for the 20th Feb evening to check out the new Cayenne. Despite it now looking fairly nice (only seem the photos mind) I'm not really into them but may go along to checkout the direct injection technology - that will I guess trickle down into the other ranges.

Anyone else going?

Bought my Cayman S from Aberdeen last May really good bunch to deal with - had to buy the car sight unseen as i'm based in Essex, described the car exactly, mentioned every minor stone chip etc, and promised to pay for my flight home and any other costs if not completly satisfied. Picked me up from airport - fed me coffee - set the sat nav for home and sent me on my way (after releiving me of my hard earned)

Cambridge are my local dealer and found them excellent always dealing with all (minor) warranty issues quickly and without any grief - always pick my car up from my house, deliver a loan car with more than the usual wisp of petrol, fix the problem, and return it to me washed.

Tried Hatfield once, never again.

my local is colchester and i have not seen an invite from them yet scratchchin

however they are well worth a visit because they often have a) very agreeable german girls showing you around the car. You know the sort, fit, good looking, speak perfect english and would look good in leather; and b) they often have nice goodies to give away. On my last one they had a local Bang & Olfusen dealer there and i managed to blag a cool B&O bottle opener which sees good service im my household

well worth a vist.

And back on thread. COlchester OPC are excellent for service.

if you went to an indy at least they would have serviced the car propper

try it out somtime, youll be suprised what the OPC missed.

(and yes, obviously check out what the indy is saying is true before parting with cash, but my OPC puts cars through service without checking porsche recommended service items for milage/age of car - varioram adjusters as an example)

The Cayennes looked fine, but they regular Porsches tucked away in the service-area, including a superb meteor-grey Boxster - looked totally superb. Bastards!

And all they free wine (hic), great
