Hi

Yes, one of my headlights has become reticent and prefers to stay in it's recess rather than illuminate the road. I've checked the relay - but am unsure if it is fused... Does anybody have an idea and if so what size is the fuse likely to be?

I have removed pod and everything is successfully attached - it just seems the motor won't work - haven't checked the feed yet though.

Yes it is fused, probably 25A. Just check all your fuses. I would suggest you stip the motor and clean the contacts on the copper strip inside.

If the fuses are all ok then from under the car open the multi pin connector just below the light pods, clean and make sure it has a secure fit. Worth doing both sides as it cured mine on two different Wedges!

Good to see SE no 10 being driven and alive and well - did you buy it from Shaun in Acomb?

My guess would also be the contacts on the motor. One thing you could try is to wind the pod up manually and then see if it lowers OK. This would prove that the supply fuses etc are OK and the problem is likely to be on the motor contacts.

CDT - No 10 is indeed being used every day (Sherburn - Leeds commute) and plenty of proper driving to! I bought it last year in the north east! My gut feeling is (probably Shaun in Acomb) did a fair bit of work to her as she is a pretty well sorted car - much better than the series 1 350i I had 10 years ago!

Few jobs to do on her, currently renewing the veneer... Next job is to get her back on the right wheels. I needed to find one of the MSW cross spokes (thanks David in Preston)just looking now for a good refurber in the Yorkshire area!

Anybody know a good one?

Nice and easy solution to the light - it was a fuse (15amp strangely...)

I'll look at trying to get to the club meet - what date in March? Also last experience of the club, probably about 15 years ago was to many hooray henry's starting to turn up with brand new Griffs... Whats the club scene like these days? Are us wedgers treated as the great unwashed!

Meetings are 3rd sunday of the month (18th March). One of the RO's for west yorkshire has a SEAC so I can say that us wedgers are not outcasts, in fact a good number of wedgers attend. I believe there was a white 200 series there today with a cosworth engine, not sure if owner is on here though. Let me know if you are up for it nearer the time and I'll make sure a few of us normal lot are there

Yep I'm here..... Enjoyed the meet today. Really friendly people and it was great to get out for a blast. Alex, didn't see your car there, so not sure if I met you or not?
Weather was good as well, bright skies and cold, dense air... which the cossie loves. Cheers Steve
