Titanium LHD SV lick

I was looking at this car many moons ago. What's the consensus on this being a good purchase chaps?

98SV had the 20hp upgrade (to 530hp, I think...)as opposed to 510 in the 97 model) - and got the uprated brakes and ABS. As mine used too.

With the short ratio gearbox......

Jonny, surely a 99 model would be a few quid more though wouldn't it??

Hi Anjum, how are you chap?? Business still good?? So this SV would be a good buy then?

96/97 sv have 510bhp, no abs, no airbag and 17" front wheels, 18" rear wheels. but do have short ratio gearbox.
i only know as i have one driving

the lhd car is a 98 so should be a 530 car.
maybe it's not cheap enough for a lefty scratchchin

oh No ... that Violet Diablo is only a bit more than a Testarossa 512TR banghead

Here's a thought, just purely as a rough rule of thumb ... I'm assuming a Diablo would be quite a bit more to run than the 512. How close do you reckon this is to truth? (ignoring out of the ordinary mishaps like blowing an engine up!)

iv'e not owned a ferrari, but have had lambo's a dozen years, would guess if you use sensibly and find a specialist it could be cheaper than a t/rossa yes

Don't say that Andy, I'm very tempted right at this minute!! Anyway, nothing will cost more than my 360 did over the 2 odd years of ownership

Carlo always makes sure his cars are good examples as he is a true enthusiast.

I think the price has come down over the last year like a few of his his cars. I have seen this car and test drove the viola SV but personally I'm a VT man.

Regarding the costs, I'd totally agree about the expense not being much if cared for and driven respectably. Could easily beat a tr.

Regards,

Matthew

That's the problem, and what eventually may kibosh my dreams of a TR ... even as a sunday car I rack up about 10k miles a year so that puts it into nearly two services every year headache

How tough are these diablos? As opposed to something a lot newer like a gallardo. can you get in them and (once warmed up properly) drive them hard or should they be treated with great care and not redlined much?

i doubt any diablo is built like a gallardo or murcie, but my own experiences and others i know of they don't exactly fall apart.
obviously the later the better, audi influence was 98 on and you can really see the quality in a 6.0 car.
as stated earlier the weakest link is the clutch but there's a few around done plenty of miles on the original.
any one know how many robin had racked up in his se30? david?
