My Dad is after a cheap 15in LCD flat screen TV to have in his office. He's 72, he's not too bothered about the picture quality - his eyesight isn't fab anyway and mainly he has it on as background while he does his paperwork.

He's found this www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5290925.htm

I know bog all about this kind of thing but to me it looks ok for what he wants?

Any thoughts or other suggestions?

Thanks

Tonsko

www.avforums.com is the place to go for stuff like this. Be warned, everyone there is obsessed with quality though - and if you're not that bothered, I'd imagine any 15" will do as well as any other!

Cheers, I've reserved one to collect so I'll get it and see what it looks like. I think I'll stay away from the scary looking tech'y forum!!

It hasn't got a built in digital tuner (Freeview) I would spend a bit more and get a 16/9 with the extra channels.

Thanks for that, I didn't think he'd be interested but I've suggested this to him and he's now going for one at £150 with built in Freeview.

It's well worth it, he'll love the extra channels like News 24 and he will also get lots of digital radio as well, good decision!
