is a rx 7 really the 1?

hey all

at the moment i have a new shape mx5 2.0 sport but an gettin a wee bit fed up o the only havin 2 seats thing so after a wee nosiy i have bin lookin at supras n rx7s

i dont wanna b spendin more than £8 grand really aswanna keep some pennies for mods

the only thing that is puttin me off the supra is that they r really thirsty more so than the 7 but the 7 dont have the best history

ive not had the best luck wi cars n not the most mechanical minded boy in theworld

so if u have an sugestions hints n tips 4 a turbo d fun goo luckin car that is a coupe ot convertable n isnt gonna cost me millions in petrol as it will b ma every day car i will b most gratefull

A Supra TT more thirsty than an RX7?

If you are looking at keeping the costs down, may I suggest that a Rex certainly isnt the car for you.

Shame you need more than 2 seats - it seems that an MR2 Turbo (T Bar) would be ideal for you other wise....spend about 5 grand for a really mint onde, and pocket a few £££ to boot.

If you're fed up with 2 seats and aren't the most mechanically minded in the world, WALK AWAY from the RX7 & the Supra!! Both are essentially 2 seaters and petrol thirsty. The RX7 I maintain should be owned by people who know a fair bit about cars, and the Supra not so much, but I'd prefer to see someone who knows what they're doing to have one....

Seriously. Look for something like a Soarer. 4 seats, power that matches the Supra, but with Jap reliability. Easy to mod and plenty out there within your budget.

engine rebuilds can be a pain with regards to the RX every 60k IIRC, the supra is pretty much bullet proof with regards to the engine
