It's a Nikon 50mm 1.8

I bought it to take pictures at a dinner last weeek, but found it too long and reverted to my kit lens as most pictures were needing < 50mm due to the amount of space for me to move in.

one of the big photography magasines this month (i cant remember which one) has a review of a range of different 50mm lenses. they agree that the Nikon is definitely worth getting considering its surprisingly low price tag.

and i have to say that i agree to. i love mine.
