Short shift 964
Discussion
I've noticed that on my 964C2 the shift into first is quite awkward, especially when the oil is cold - is this normal?
I'd also like to improve and shorten the shift action, and the best bet seems to be to use the 964RS shift kit, does anyone know where I can get a good price on this?
Cheers,
Fox

It was normal on my G50/10 RS box until it got warm.
You should be able to retrofit a short shift kit, not sure whether it is 'RS' or not, as they did a lot of other stuff to the box at the same time. Maybe 9M will have a suggestion, but try Tech 9 as they do lots of Techart stuff and it's the kind of accessory they'd know about.
The 964RS and RSR have a short-shift as standard, only two pieces of the shift kit on the PET picture that are non-standard are parts 1 and 11 (gear lever 964.424.015.08 and fork 964.424.017.01). Cost of parts (plus assorted bushes/washers etc.) GBP50 plus VAT and fitting.
