My 993 was in for its 48K service today, the first during my period of ownership.

Mike from Sports and Classic, who posts here quite frequently, came well-recommended by a Porsche-owning friend so he was the natural choice for the job. An added bonus is that he lives just a few miles down the road from me so was able to pick the car up from my home en route to his workshop.

I'm very firmly of the view that good service should advertised and praise given where it's due. So a big thumbup from me for Mike. Good service, reasonable pricing and a really nice guy as well.

It was with a certain degree of trepidation that I had waited for Mike's report on what needed doing. I had visions of a list of advisory work as long as my arm, and major maintenance and repair bills. But in the event, other than needing a replacement switch to remedy the complete lack of brake lights (!!!), and a leaky seal on the Targa roof, my P&J got a clean bill of health cloud9

So, while it sounds like he's not short of work of the minute, if you're in the Cheshire/south Manchester area then you could do much worse than using Sports and Classic.
