Hi Guys

I'm new to this forum but I wanted to see if I could find out some info.

I've always loved Lambos and after recently making the mistake of buying a Range Sport have decided I am going to buy Lambo.

My budget is around £100k the less I spend the better really.

I've been looking in top marques, autotrader website and searching the net. What I have noticed is that the private cars are priced quite high.

I note that their is a new 2008 model being revealed soon - which is kindof making me nervous but I don't think I can or will wait that long let alone pay £150+k

Would you recommend I buy one from the main dealership?

Anything I should look out for?

Hi dude, and welcome!!

Is it a Gallardo or Murci you plan to buy?

Totally different cars!!

Best of luck in the search.

Hi.. your making the right choice and by buying privately you could save yourself some money if you look in the right places.... as long as the car is still covered by manufacturers warranty it's basically the same as buying from a dealer... ultimately if there's a problem with the car It's the service centre your be calling not the dealership... so I would say as long as the car has a good warranty and has been maintained to a high degree I would go for it...

Hi Nick

Thanks for the reply, but where are the right places to look.

Auto trader and top marques hardly have any Gallardo's for sale?

I'm sure the dealers don't give good money when they buy them back so they must be going somewhere?

when I said the auto trader hardly have any gallardo's I was refering to privately owned ones.

I have had a look at the classifieds but again not much selection.

I'm wondering whether it would be worth to go that extra mile and get a new one now?

If you don't mind the depreciation go for a new one... or if your looking for a good spec car which looks like new anyway drop me a line....

My advice is to talk to certain people, and ignore the rest.

People like Dion at Elms will help you and point you in the right direction, as will Dominic Mulvey at Lamborghini Birmingham. Either Steve or Bruce at Lamborghini London are also worth spending time with, and Carlo at Top Gear Cars is also one to speak to, but only for V12 cars at the moment.

Or you can PM me, and I'll help you out and find the right car.

As long as it has been in the UK dealer network, and had all of its upgrades under warranty, fully serviced with at least a "C" spec clutch, then you have nothing to worry about other than the speed cameras!

Good luck and have fun.

Cheers,

Ruttboy.

Hi Ruttboy

thanks for that I will PM you later.

What year would you suggest I buy?

As you have mentioned the clutch, I can't decide what to buy the E-gear or the manual. I'm reading conflicting posts regarding the wear and tear of the clutch. what do you think?
