It looks like a pump that is attached to this plate. I mean the plate fastened by a lot of little screws, which you have to remove when you want to go to the front indicators. Mine has a lot of corrosion on it.

Can anyone tell me what kind of pump it is??

I was wondering that too, I know it's an Air Con "thinmgammyjig", because it is plumbed into the Air Con system, not exactly sure what it does though, I hope I find out

Its part P0121 the receiver drier. Takes the moisture out of the system I believe.

It has the switch on it that stops the aircon if the pressure is too high or too low ie too much or too little refrigerant.

No no no no|...it's the 'Centrefugal Plasma Drive Inductor' only fitted to one Rosso Pearl Cerbie. When activated it turns a S6 engine into an AJPv8...Never Ever Turn it OFF!! laugh

No routine maintenance that I know of.

It was very rusty when I had the panel off so I removed the bracket that holds it, cleaned it all up with a wire brush (including the pipework connectors) and sprayed it all with white grease to give it some protection. I also replaced the bolts with stainless (but I do that as a matter of course whenever something is removed)

I pulled the electrical plug and used contact cleaner and WD40 to remove the bit of corrosion that was there. Plugged it back in and then a squirt of white grease over the top to seal it from the elements.

Say....Cooky, you are worrying me a little bit.

My Cerbie is a rosso pearl one. Used to run in Schotland, was bought by a dutch trader and I bought it there.

Does it turn my engine into a wicked monster???

You've got me this time. Still learning abbreviations and know now what was meant with S6 engine. A couple of visits more here on the forum will make me a better tivver.

Would have been nice though, a little can that can instantly produce 2 cilinders more!!
