In addition to a presence at the Silverstone Classic:

Porsche Club Festival at Ragley Hall – Sunday, 9th September, 2007

Porsche Club Festival will be held this year at Ragley Hall near Alcester in Warwickshire. This is the imposing stately home of the Marquis and Marchioness of Hertford and their young family. Please visit their website www.ragleyhall.com to see the many attractions Ragley holds for us and why we’ve chosen this stunning location for our National Event. Ragley is situated within 25 minutes of junction 15 of the M40, and is signposted from the Stratford-upon-Avon bypass; it is easily found, and centrally located.

Prices for entry have yet to be decided, but it will be very reasonable based on a per car rate. We are aiming for a thoroughly enjoyable and FUN ‘Porsche Club Day’ with something for all of our Members. More details will be released in Porsche Post next month. Attractions and event layout so far may include:

Ø Free entry to Ragley Hall including guided tours of the Hall, and use of their new, state-of- the-art catering facilities near the lake, and existing ones located in the Hall
Ø Access to Ragley’s extensive, beautiful gardens, and woodland walks
Ø Ragley Jazz Time by the Lake - BBQ and pig roast in the Members’ enclosure from lunchtime onwards – ticket price to be decided, but it will be reasonable and suitable for all Members and their families
Ø A large area for Regions and Registers to display in front of the Hall, and ‘do their own thing’
Ø Concours Finals and display at the front of the Hall – possibly preceded by a concours parade from Alcester town centre 2 miles away
Ø Birthday Registers (956/911S/928/944/964RS/996) and Special Porsche Displays in the main display areas by the lake and in front of the Hall
Ø Coys may be joining us and holding an auction with special terms for Members’ cars
Ø Porsche Cars Cayenne 4x4 Experience – the team from Reading will be giving Cayenne rides and we hope they will be bringing their fantastic stand showing the new Porsches
Ø There will be a trade village, and some of our sponsors will be displaying their goods and services
Ø Helicopter rides and other attractions
Ø Members’ Cars for Sale area
Ø Members’ Autojumble
Ø Ragley Adventure Wood for 2 – 16 year olds, this is superb, great fun, and staffed by Ragley’s trained people
Ø PCGB Ragley Team Challenge – we hope pedalos on the lake will be one leg of the triathlon, with scalextric and another undecided discipline, start seeking out your team members!
Ø Ample Porsche only, Members and public parking areas, and easy, one-way, through traffic access
Ø Plenty of varied accommodation is available near Ragley and Alcester, special rates for Members will be negotiated, and details released in due course

Why not contact us with your ideas, and we’ll see if we can accommodate some of them into the Festival? E-mail us on events@porscheclubgb.com or clubmanager@porscheclubgb.com, or telephone us on 01608 652911
